Bonfire Travel GmbH is a Swiss DMC founded in 2017. We design and deliver corporate MICE programmes, incentive travel, year-end events, and leadership retreats from our base in Switzerland – extending across Europe and worldwide through our integrated operations.
In 2027, we mark our tenth year in business.
Our Story
Bonfire Travel was founded in 2017 with a clear conviction: that corporate events deserve the same precision, discretion, and accountability as any other business-critical service.
From our headquarters in Switzerland, we have grown deliberately. We built our corporate client base across Europe — from the Alpine region and German-speaking markets, to the United Kingdom and Ireland, to Scandinavia, Iberia, Southern Europe, and beyond. We deepened our network of preferred suppliers across the continent, and refined the compliance processes that regulated sectors require — from pharmaceutical investigator meetings in Basel and Lucerne, to financial off-sites in Zurich, Frankfurt and London, to large-scale year-end celebrations across the Alpine region and the wider European market.
In late 2025, we acquired Upashana, integrating an established specialist in tailored worldwide travel into the Bonfire group. Upashana now operates as our dedicated division for individual and small-group programmes — managing bespoke itineraries for executive clients, family offices, and VIP guests across more than twenty countries. This brought a complete worldwide tailored-travel capability in-house, rather than relying on intermediaries.
In May 2026, we formalised our Asia-Pacific presence by founding Bonfire Global Pvt Ltd in Australia. From this dedicated office, we manage programmes in both directions: inbound for Australian, New Zealand, and Fijian corporate clients running events into Europe, and outbound for European clients travelling into the Asia-Pacific region.
Bonfire today operates from Switzerland across Europe, Asia-Pacific, and worldwide — supported by a curated network of preferred and trusted suppliers and certified destination guides across the destinations we serve. Every client works directly with senior decision-makers throughout the project lifecycle.
In 2027 we celebrate ten years of Bonfire Travel.

Based in Switzerland, Lisa leads Bonfire’s European operations and client relationships. Her work focuses on corporate MICE delivery, supplier negotiation, and on-site event management across Switzerland and the wider European market.

Dheeraj leads product development, supplier partnerships, and the integration of Bonfire’s worldwide operations across Europe, Asia-Pacific, and the Middle East.

Sustainability & Responsibility
Bonfire Travel operates as a member of the Switzerland Tourism Board’s Swisstainable programme. For pharma and life sciences clients, we work in line with EFPIA, IFPMA, and Pharmig codes on meeting hospitality, transfer-of-value documentation, and venue suitability. All attendee data is handled in accordance with GDPR.
We work primarily with venues, hotels, and transport partners that hold recognised sustainability certifications across Switzerland and Europe. Carbon-footprint reporting for events is available on request, and supports clients’ CSRD reporting obligations.
