Escape the hustle and bustle of the city as you visit the mountain of Montserrat. Home to the Basilica of Montserrat with its famous centuries-old carving of La Moreneta, the patroness of Catalonia, and learn all about the fascinating history of this Benedictine Abbey.

The visit also includes a tasting of four of the typical liquors prepared by the monks themselves at the monastery. Neither should you miss a stroll around the mountain. Today, you’ll start with visit to the Royal Palace and then you will go on a fully-guided panoramic tour of Madrid where you can learn about the origins of Spain’s fascinating capital city through its architecture

 You will also discover the boulevards of contemporary Madrid; the Gran Via, the Paseo de la Castellana, the Salamanca quarter, the Plaza de Castilla, the Parque del Oeste, the University Quarter, the commercial and business areas of Modern Madrid, the Las Ventas bullring. During the tour, you will make a stop for a relaxing drink at the world-famous Hard Rock Cafe. Overnight at the hotel.

Proceed to the meeting point in Madrid city. By coach, you will travel to Toledo for a one in a lifetime experience.

Feel your adrenaline levels surge as you approach the site and see your brightly coloured hot-air balloon preparing to inflate. Climb into the balloon’s sturdy basket and hear the roar of the gas flame as you begin to ascend into the air. Capture panoramic photographs of either the ancient sprawl of Toledo, with its winding River Tajo and the majestic Alćazar of Toledo, or the medieval myriad of Segovia, with its colossal aqueduct considered one of the region’s best-preserved Roman monuments.  Cruise over the Gothic architecture and ancient structures of the city you selected and listen to captivating commentary about the rich heritage of each area. Return to solid ground after an hour in the air and tantalize your taste buds with a brunch comprised of Spanish specialties; sample cured meats, creamy cheeses and freshly baked bread. Peruse your souvenir photos while toasting glasses of chilled and sparkling cava then bid your guide and group farewell and return to your Madrid hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
