The Royal Scotsman – Scotland’s Classic

The Royal Scotsman

With the “Royal Scotsman” you will experience an unforgettable journey through the mountains of Scotland. The elegant journey through the Highlands and the stay on board are relaxing and enjoyable.

Each cabin features inlaid mahogany and tweed furnishings and an ensuite bathroom.

You will be spoiled with Scottish dishes such as wild salmon and seared scallops.

After your meal, you can chat with other travelers and enjoy the breathtaking view in the panorama car, alongside a fine malt whiskey.

A varied entertainment program will also bring you closer to Scotland musically.

The Bamford Haybarn Spa offers soothing massages and beauty treatments in two treatment rooms.

You can choose from trips with a duration of two to seven nights.

Each trip begins and ends in Edinburgh, with a choice of East Coast or West Coast round trips.

Attractive off-train activities are included like special tours of castles, magical islands and, of course, whiskey distilleries.

You can also book one of the themed tours offered by the Royal Scotsman: Malt Whiskey, Gardens or even Golf.

Additional activities such as stargazing and pony trekking in the Cairngorms, canoeing on Loch Ness and coasteering in Arbroath are also available on request. Art lovers can take the opportunity to visit the V&A Dundee or a charming local pottery workshop on the banks of Loch Carron.

The Royal Scotsman is an elegant and relaxed way to experience Scotland’s diverse culture, rugged landscape and history.
